When I walk around on campus, I see other students wearing other college’s attire. I think that is dumb, you are going to the University of Memphis, you are a part of this college, you should be proud of it. I’m from Oklahoma and most my family went to Oklahoma state University, and when you walk on that campus there is no doubt about what campus you are on; you would be shunned if you wore another schools attire. I would just like to see that support and pride in our school from a majority of the students at least.

I agree with you to some degree. But I think part of the problem is whether or not people want to be at Memphis or not. Not everyone gets to go where they want, so they have to make due with what they get. I really don't "support" an college, but I do give credit to Memphis because it is where I go. I guess it just depends.
ReplyDeleteNot everyone feels the need to show their pride for their University with their wardrobe. I am from Texas and would rather go to school there and have a t shirt from the school I wanted to attend. I do not wear it to downplay Memphis I wear it because its a shirt and its comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI agree strongly! I never understood why students who attend the U of M would walk around with MTSU sweatshirts, LSU sweatpants, or Arkansas State hoodies. I feel as though you are apart of tiger nation and you should be proud of it. show support in YOUR school not OTHERS
